Hi all, totally agree cause being a landlord been good to me honestly i met so many people i never woulda met otherwise tenants tradesmen other landlords even a few investors too real estate been better for me than any job i ever had when it comes to feeling secure financially but it wasnt easy i used my own money borrowed some too to buy and fix up places and having tenants thats always a risk no matter how careful you try to be you still gonna face challenges especially dealing with people.

landlord life good but it aint for everybody plenty people try it once get a bad tenant or lose money and they done with it just like that some people just not built for dealing with tenants and they better off getting a manager but if you real with yourself and know what you can and cant handle thats a solid place to start.

$250,000 fines for landlords

Hey everyone, I came across some discussions else where about the proposed law in Barbados that could fine property owners up to $250,000 if their rental properties aren’t registered or don’t meet certain standards.

Now, I totally agree that safety and proper standards are important no one wants unsafe or unfair rentals. But I’m wondering if this approach might be a bit too heavy handed, especially for small property owners who are just trying to make a living.

Most of us already follow platform rules from Airbnb, Vrbo, and others keeping our spaces safe, clean, and welcoming for guests. So do we really need another big law with such harsh penalties?

Wouldn’t a simpler, more supportive system maybe something like a low cost registration process or educational outreach work better than fear of a $250K fine?
